We need 2,000 volunteers.

The playground will be constructed in 5 fun-filled days, October 10-14, 2007, using the old-fashioned "Barn-Raising" method.
Join us and volunteer for as little as an hour or up to the full five days. Everyone can contribute--serving food, pounding nails, babysitting, painting, whatever-just volunteer and we'll find something for you to do! Whatever the job may be-cutting, nailing, serving food or providing childcare, no experience is necessary. Whatever you do, you'll forever feel good about it.

Childcare is provided for ages 9 and under. Wednesday-Friday childcare will be located at  Second Church of Christ, Scientist 2112 Forest Park Blvd from 8am-8pm. Childcare Saturday. October 13 will be at St. Stephen Presbyterian Church 2700 McPherson Ave from 8am-8pm. Please bring a sack lunch for your child.

We are still short 6 Construction Captains.  

Construction Captains are volunteers who work alongside the construction consultants, overseeing and instructing crews and helping to maintain quality. They make it possible for Leathers' consultants to keep hundreds of volunteers working efficiently. Strongly committed Captains take care of the details that make working on a project fun, safe, and productive.  In Short: Captains are an indispensable part of construction AND you get to wear a special shirt!  They require a commitment to be onsite from 7am-8pm every day of the build.
